Keeping the Faith

Today I had a dilemma, so I prayed “show me how.”  Then I realized, this is the “how.”  This is the help, only I don’t recognize it, because it feels like work and turmoil.  I prayed for resources, then I realized, this adventure I’m on is building my resilience muscles something fierce.  The resources are there.  The help is there.  It’s just a matter of time.

This is where the “faith” part kicks in.   You don’t believe because of what’s in front of you; you believe  because of what’s inside of you.  Keep the faith. Let the faith keep you.

“Prayer is not asking.
Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God,
at his disposition,
and listening to his voice in the depths of our hearts.”

Mother Teresa

    Ruth,
What an amazing quote from Mother Teresa. I think this is going to have to go into my prayer journal!
